After well over 200 gigs in Switzerland and abroad, in 2012 My Name Is George decided - for the first time in the band's ten year history - to take some extended time off from the stage to work on a new album. Produced by their guitarist Philip Harrison, the album was largely recorded by the band itself in their own studio - without any outside influence. As a result, the record is without a doubt their most idiosyncratic and authentic to date. It will be released this month!

My Name Is George were highflyers from the start: as early as 2004, for their very first EP, the band received critical acclaim at the M4Musi cDemotape Clinic and - practically out of the blue - managed to play an extensive tour throughout the entire country. Since then the band has released three albums and performed over 200 concerts on stages small and large in Switzerland, England, Germany and Austria. After winning the DRS3 Swisstop Award 2006, My Name Is George have become an integral part of the Swiss music scene, receiving uninterrupted daily airplay since 2008. In 2010, My Name Is George came second in the ranking of most-played Swiss songs.
